Super Summer Word Scramble
1. HOW TO PLAY. The first day of June, July and August a Super Summer Word Scramble form will be printed in your Globe
Gazette. There will be a different word scramble phrase each month. At least 5 days per week from June 1, 2012 through
August 31, 2012 there will be a letter in the Globe Gazette. It will be easy to find - somewhere in your Globe Gazette. Within
five business days of month end you must submit your answer for that month by dropping it off at the Globe Gazette, 300 N.
Washington, Mason City, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., mailing it to the Globe Gazette, P.O. Box 271, Mason City,
IA 50402-0271 or going to www.globegazette.com/contests and enter your answer. All entries with the correct answers will be
entered into a random drawing monthly. Only one entry per household.
2. ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE: The contest is open to legal residents of the United States within the Globe Gazette delivery area.
Entrants must be at least 18 years of age by June 1, 2012. Employees of Lee Enterprises, the Globe Gazette, their parent or
sister companies or any immediate family members are ineligible. *Contest is not open to residents of Puerto Rico, New York,
Florida or Rhode Island. Void where prohibited.
3. PRIZES: Each month for three months, starting with June 2012, a winner will be drawn from the correct entries. Monthly winners
will receive a $100 gift card. At the end of the contest, an overall winner will be drawn from all correct monthly entries. This
winner will receive an annual Globe Gazette subscription and a $300 gift card ($500 value). All gift cards must be picked
up in person at the Globe Gazette office, 300 N. Washington Ave., Mason City, Iowa, during regular business hours (9 a.m.
to 5 p.m.), Monday through Friday. Gift cards must be picked up within 30 days of winning and applicable tax forms must be
completed. If the gift card isn’t picked up during the allotted time, it will be forfeited. They will NOT be mailed.
4. OFFICIAL ENTRY FORM/NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. The entry form is at the www.globegazette.com/contests. If you
do not have access to the internet, you may pick up your form at the Globe Gazette office, 300 N. Washington Ave., Mason
City, Iowa, 50401 during regular business hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Monday through Friday or send a stamped, self-addressed
envelope to the address above. You will have 5 business days after the last letter is published to bring in your answer and it must
include your name, address, email address and phone number or submit it at www.globegazette.com/contests. If you do not
have access to a Globe Gazette, a paper will be made available at the Globe Gazette. This paper may be read in the lobby of
the Globe Gazette and must remain in the lobby.
5. WINNER’S OBLIGATIONS. The winner assumes all risks and agrees that Lee Enterprises, Globe Gazette and their
affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies and employees have no liability in connection with the acceptance or use of the prize. The
winner shall be solely responsible for all federal, state and local income and other taxes associated with the prize and for any
insurance related to the use of any prize. Winner will be notifi ed by email, telephone or mail.
6. ODDS OF WINNING. Odds of winning depend upon the number of entries received.
7. Decisions of Globe Gazette are final on any matter related to this contest.
8. Deadline: Within fi ve business days of month end you must submit your answer for that month by dropping it off at the Globe
Gazette, 300 N. Washington, Mason City, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., mailing it to the Globe Gazette, P.O. Box
271, Mason City, IA 50402-0271 or going to www.globegazette.com/contests and enter your answer. The contest runs June 1
through August 31, 2012.

You must be 13 years of age or older at time of entry to be eligible for this contest. This contest is void where prohibited by law.
Winners will be notified by email. If a winner is unreachable after seven (7) days, or if that winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected. If Mason City Globe-Gazette cannot find an eligible winner for the prize, that prize will not be awarded.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
Automated voting of any kind is not allowed. Detection of said automated voting will lead to votes being voided.
Only one registered account per voter. If multiple accounts are detected for a single voter, they will be disabled and votes disqualified.
Mason City Globe-Gazette reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.
Mason City Globe-Gazette reserves the right to restrict the local winners to only persons whose primary residence is within a 60 mile radius of the affiliate's' office.
Employees of Mason City Globe-Gazette, its respective parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising sponsors and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible.
Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the contest commissioners, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest.
Entrants further grant to Mason City Globe-Gazette the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Contest.
Mason City Globe-Gazette reserves the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.
The Contest and all of the related pages, contents and code are copyright, UPICKEM, and/or Mason City Globe-Gazette. Copying or unauthorized use of any copyrighted materials, trademarks or any other intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.
Each winner, by acceptance of the prize, agrees to release all Sponsors, and their parent and subsidiary companies, their officers, directors, employees, agents, shareholders, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, and advertising agencies from all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of the prize.
UPICKEM and Mason City Globe-Gazette are not responsible for Internet crashes or slowdowns caused by network congestion, viruses, sabotage, satellite failures, phone line failures, electrical outages, natural disasters or acts of man or God.
All results posted are unofficial until winners respond to e-mail notification.
Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and will be required to complete an IRS form W-9. Sponsor reserves the right to withhold prizes until completed form W-9 is received.
This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.
Mason City Globe-Gazette reserves the right to change the rules at any time.
