Rules:

• No fee. No purchase required.
• Contest categories: Artistic, People, Nature, and photos shot by student photographers 18 and under.
• Photos must be submitted via web-form. Photos should be jpeg and less than 2.5 MB in size.
• Up to 5 photos per category.
• Entries may be in color or black and white.
• All entries must be received no later than November 30, 2011.
• Winning entries will be chosen by a panel of experts.
• Photos must have been taken in the Globe Gazette coverage area. This includes Cerro Gordo, Worth, Floyd, Mitchell, Winnebago, Hancock, Wright, Kossuth, Franklin and Butler counties.
• Judges, sponsors, employees of the North Iowa Media Group and their immediate family are not eligible.
• Professional photographers are not eligible.

• By submitting an entry, the entrant guarantees that they retain all rights to the photos submitted and grant the Globe Gazette permission to copy, publish (in print or online), use and reuse the photos in any manner at all, in whole or in part, modified or altered, either by themselves or in conjunction with other materials.
• By submitting an entry, the entrant forever releases, discharges and agrees to indemnify the publisher from all claims, actions and demands arising out of or in connection with the use of the photos, including without limitation, all claims for invasion of privacy and libel. If the entrant is a minor, submission must be done under the acknowledgement of a parent or guardian.
• A winner assumes all risks and agrees that Lee Enterprises dba Globe Gazette and their affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies and employees have no liability in connection with the acceptance or use of the prize. A winner shall be solely responsible for all federal, state and local income and other taxes associated with the prize and for any insurance related to the use of any prize. The winner agrees to complete an all documentation required. This contest is void where prohibited by law. Federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
