1. You have to use Peeps – Chick Peeps, Bunny Peeps, Blue Peeps, Yellow Peeps – your choice of Peeps, but it has to be Peeps.
2. The diorama (a miniature scene in a 3-D setting) can be no larger than 2 feet by 2 feet or smaller than a shoe box.
3. Your diorama can represent a movie, TV show, song, historic event, sports– almost anything – but be sure to tell us what it is.
4. Bring your entry to the Globe Gazette, 300 N. Washington Ave., Mason City, 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 31. All dioramas become the property of the Globe Gazette.
5. There are two divisions: Youth and Adult.You have to be 14 years old or under to be in the Youth Division and have the approval of a parent or guardian. 15 years of age to 100+ is the Adult Division. All entrants must live in the Globe Gazette coverage area in order to participate. Globe Gazette or Lee Enterprises employees, or their closest relatives, cannot participate.
6. List names, ages, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses of the diorama creators.
7. Each person can only enter once.
8. No purchase necessary.
9. Just Born has permission to post winning dioramas images on its Peeps Website.
10. The Globe Gazette reserves the right to disqualify any entry and change the rules should the necessity arise.
Online voting will begin Wednesday, April 2 and end Wednesday, April 9, at www.globegazette.com/peeps. Each person can vote once.
The winners will be announced Easter Sunday, April 20.
The prizes are three gift cards priced at $100, $50 and $25 for the Just Born.
